Day 4 Bottle Holders and Chairs

I got on well with the first few tasks at the start which was to create a design out of a simple series of lines, scribbles or doodles on a page. It was fun because I ended up creating a floor plan from a few dots scattered on a page, a lamp out of a dress and even a bus stop out of my house number.
The main tasks later in the day were more challenging. We had to create something that could hold the weight of  a bottle. At first I thought this was for us to hold a container with the bottle in and see if it was strong enough but it was really meant to be like some sort of platform. This ended up with me scrambling something together in the time we had left.

The next task was to make some sort of structure, that could hold up our own weight, from four pieces of A2 cardboard. For me, it then ended up being a challenge to make something that wasn't going to work, work. By the end of the time we had, all the cardboard was so battered and bent it was impossible for it to be strong and rigid enough to hold any weight. It wasn't very successful but I now know if I was going to do a similar task in the future, to not do everything I did in this task.
Planning should've been taken out more thoroughly and I would have then avoided trying to force something to work and therefore destroying it in the process.
